Sequential Art Gallery presents FICTIONAL FICTION by CARASU. The exhibit opens this Thursday, April 3rd with the artist’s reception from 6pm to 10pm.
The artist Carasu is actually Sequential Art alumni Shinichi Moriyama, bringing us another exhibit that best reflects his bizarre view of the world. Here’s how Carasu/Moriyama describes Fictional Fiction:
“You pick your favorite wedding gown out of a catalogue way before you meet your mate. You buy a box of condoms at a store after you just talked to a girl. You have more fun creating a playlist for a road trip than you do on the road trip itself. You have an empty space on your desk for the turntable you can’t afford.
Yours truly has just written the greatest twenty first-century cyberpunk novel in my mind. I even painted illustrations for my favorite scenes. When Thought meets Intention, it becomes Matter. Isn’t it what creation is all about?”
FICTIONAL FICTION will be on display throughout the month of April, with gallery hours on Thursdays from 3pm-7pm, and by appointment. FICTIONAL FICTION will close at the end of business on Thursday, April 24th.
