“Alabaster: Wolves” art by Steve Lieber

Sequential Art Gallery presents Steve Lieber’s original art from Caitlin R. Kiernan’s “ALABASTER: WOLVES”, sponsored in part by both Dark Horse Comics & Bridge City Comics. With the mini-series newly collected & released in hardcover, copies of “Alabaster: Wolves” will available for sale & for signing by Lieber. The exhibit opens this Thursday, February 7th, with the artist’s reception & book signing from 6pm to 10pm.

“Alabaster: Wolves” marks the first appearance of Caitlin R. Kiernan’s demon-hunting, monster-killing character, Dancy Flammarion, in comic book form. Unexpectedly left alone by the powers that guide her, Dancy faces off against a family of demonic wolves. Lieber’s art pairs brilliantly with Kiernan’s storytelling, providing the reader with the beautiful-and-terrifying fever dream that is Dancy’s life.

Steve Lieber’s comics and illustration have been published by DC Comics, Marvel, Scholastic, Dark Horse, Image, Carus Publishing, Dupuis and many others. He’s best known as the artist of the graphic novel Whiteout, adapted by Warner Brothers as a movie starring Kate Beckinsale. (www.stevelieber.com)
